- Accumulator
- A single bet that combines multiple selections; all selections must win for the accumulator to pay out, multiplying the odds.
- American Odds
- Odds expressed as a positive or negative number, indicating how much profit you make on a 100 unit stake or how much you must stake to win 100 units.
- Anytime Goalscorer
- A bet on a specific player scoring at any point during the match.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to a team to level the playing field, where bets can be refunded if the result falls on the exact handicap line.
- Back Bet
- A traditional bet that a particular outcome will happen, placed with a bookmaker or on an exchange.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting, used to manage how much you can safely wager over time.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that lets you combine different markets from the same match into one custom bet.
- Bet Slip
- The digital record on a betting site that lists the selections you have made and the amount you wish to stake.
- Bookmaker Margin
- The built-in profit margin that a bookmaker includes in the odds, making the total implied probabilities greater than 100%.
- Both Teams to Score (BTTS)
- A bet on whether both sides will score at least one goal during the match, with options yes or no.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss based on current odds.
- Correct Score
- A bet that predicts the exact final score of a match, offering higher odds due to its difficulty.
- Decimal Odds
- A way of expressing odds as a single number that includes the stake; the total payout equals the decimal multiplied by the stake.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match, such as win/draw or draw/win, reducing risk.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that returns your stake if the match ends in a draw, otherwise you win if your chosen team wins.
- First Goalscorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in a match.
- Fractional Odds
- A traditional odds format that shows the profit relative to the stake, expressed as a fraction.
- Lay Bet
- A bet that a particular outcome will not happen, often placed on a betting exchange, where you act as the bookmaker.
- Live Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is in progress, with odds that change as the game unfolds.
- Odds
- The number that tells you how much you can win relative to your stake, and reflects how likely a result is thought to be.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals (or points) in a match will be more or less than a number set by the bookmaker.
- Push
- A tie result where the bet is neither won nor lost, and the stake is usually returned.
- Spread
- The difference between the odds for two possible outcomes, often used in point spread betting to balance the chances.
- Stake
- The amount of money you put on a bet, which determines your potential payout if the bet wins.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered by the bookmaker are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving you an expected profit.
